Government Relations
Our government relations work encompasses intelligence reporting and early warning on regulatory and legislative issues, identification of decision-makers and formal or informal processes, and support for engagement with government, parliament and regulators. We ensure effective delivery by combining deep local knowledge and contacts with a strategic understanding of how best to support client objectives, whether through direct representations ('lobbying'), generating third party endorsement, or harnessing media and public opinion. For most clients we provide long-term support - building platforms for engagement and dialogue with relevant officials, shaping the public affairs agenda, rather than 'fire fighting' on specific issues. We do however work on a project basis - assessing political risk on investments, influencing specific regulatory or legislative issues, maximising the likelihood of success in public sector tenders, and shortening approval times for investments and acquisitions. In all of our work, we operate to the highest professional and ethical standards.

Corporate Communications
Our corporate communication services focus on support for the development or localisation of corporate brands, public relations campaigns to build positive brand awareness and reputation management campaigns to minimise the negative impact of issues or attacks. In each of these areas we partner with our clients to develop the strategy and ensure effective implementation, usually as part of long-term programmes. Our brand strategy work encompasses market research and development of local brand positioning through to design and implementation. Corporate profiling campaigns focus principally on generating positive coverage in relevant media, generating support among key opinion leaders and ensuring an effective presence at conferences and events. Reputation management services focus on identification of potential issue or crisis situations, pro-active positioning to contain issues, training to maximise preparedness, and 24/7 management of 'live fire' situations. We have particular expertise in supporting litigation, restructuring, industrial disputes and accidents.

Investor Relations
In the area of investor relations we work closely with other corporate advisors to support IPOs, bond issues and ongoing financial calendar communications. Typically we are engaged 12-18 months prior to an initial listing, building positive awareness among financial media and analysts before strict limitations are placed on corporate marketing by regulators. In the pre-IPO marketing period we also help clients to craft corporate equity stories, develop marketing materials and provide presentation training to top management. Our IPO marketing support includes roadshow management, listing day events and aftermarket communications, helping maintain share price. We help clients build their own in-house IR function and provide ongoing counsel or support for key events such as guidance or results announcements and CEO profiling. We have specialist experience in cross-border and dual listings and strong partnerships with the leading US and European investor relations firms, crafting international teams to suit our clients' needs.
