The Speyside team has over 20 years experience in emerging markets, having previously built the leading global emerging markets corporate communications and public affairs consultancy, operating across 21 countries in Central and Eastern Europe and Eurasia.
In 2009 we switched focus to Latin America based on feedback from clients that there was a ‘gap’ in terms of board-level counsel, and development and implementation of sophisticated corporate communications and public affairs campaigns.
Today, we operate two practice groups:
Latin America group
Our Latin America group operates from principal offices in Sao Paulo, Mexico City and Bogotá with consultants in eight other Central and South American countries. Our approach to Latin America is based on principles developed over the last 20 years of emerging market consultancy:
Strategic, results focused approach – All our work is rigorously focused on supporting headline business objectives, ensuring
systematic delivery against pre-agreed targets
Organically built network – Our network is organically built and fully owned, to ensure consistent standards and culture of client
servicing across the business
Matrix of local and international expertise – We combine specialist international experience and technique with strong local teams,
bringing deep local market knowledge and contacts
Integrated, international delivery – Over 70% of our work is on integrated regional or global campaigns, combining central strategic
coordination and strong local delivery
Global strategies group
Our Global Strategies group works alongside Latin American based multinationals with reach into all key global financial, trade and regulatory centres. We provide board-level counsel on group corporate affairs around three main areas:
Structure – Analysing the current structure of the group corporate affairs function, advising on how to upgrade the function to increase
efficiency and effectiveness, and providing transitional support to a new structure that better supports headline corporate objectives.
Strategy – Analysing the current group corporate affairs strategy, auditing perceptions among internal and external stakeholders, and
providing recommendations on a new approach which better supports corporate objectives and operations in key global markets.
Implementation – Supporting multinationals to manage global implementation, working through our own team of global-class
consultants and/or selecting and coordinating ‘best of breed’ implementation partners to ensure effective, joined-up delivery.
